Freemasonry does not have its own god or religion, contrary to common misconceptions. The term "Great Architect of the Universe" is simply a title used to refer to each Mason's personal deity, not a separate Masonic god. Masonry reinforces moral principles from members' individual faiths and draws lessons from Biblical stories shared by multiple religions, without promoting any specific theology.
Higher Masonic degrees build on this foundation progressively, similar to how plot elements are revealed gradually in a book series. While misinformation persists, Masons can arm themselves with knowledge to educate those open to understanding the truth about the craft.
